Christmas 2026: Last Order Dates for a Personalised Book
When to order a personalised children's book for delivery before Christmas — in the UK, Europe, the US and further away — and what to do if you've left it late.

A personalised book can’t be pulled off a shelf: each one is written, drawn and printed for one child. That takes a few days, and in December the post takes longer too. Here is when to order so it arrives before Christmas.
The short answer
For a printed book delivered in the UK before Christmas, order by Friday 18 December 2026. UK delivery is free.
Further away, order earlier. The dates use our print partner’s delivery times for each country:

One delivery charge covers the whole order, however many books are in it (prices as of October 2026; the book page always shows the current one).
How the dates are worked out
We make each book within one working day: the story is set with your child’s name, their character is drawn from your photo, and every page is checked by a person before it goes to print. It is then printed near the person it’s going to — in the UK for UK orders — and posted.
In the UK the post takes two to three working days. Elsewhere, each date adds our making day to the longest our print partner’s delivery usually takes to that country. Most books arrive sooner, but in December it’s worth planning for the slow end. The book page shows the date it should arrive by for your country before you pay.
Left it late? Two ways to still make it
- A PDF edition. Most of our books come as a print-ready PDF, emailed to you as soon as it’s made. Order by Wednesday 23 December and you’ll have it for Christmas Eve, to print at home or at a local print shop, or to read on a tablet on Christmas morning. You can order the printed copy to follow in the new year.
- Give the preview. Upload a photo at Create and you’ll see your child as a storybook character and on their book’s cover in a few minutes, free. Printed or shown on a phone, it makes a lovely “your book is on its way” card for under the tree.
Which Christmas book?
- For a baby’s first Christmas: the Baby’s First Christmas Book is a gentle watercolour story of their first tree, first snow and a nap under the twinkling lights, with your baby drawn from your photo.
- No photo to hand? The choose-a-character edition tells the same story with the little one who looks most like your baby, picked from 14 characters. It is our quickest Christmas book to make.
- For children of about three to eight: the Christmas Storybook is a Christmas Eve adventure where a lost reindeer and Santa’s stuck sleigh need your child’s help.
All of them come in seven languages, as softcover or hardcover, and your message is printed on the first page beside your child’s character.
Good to know
- Check the address. A wrong postcode is a common reason for a late parcel. If you spot a mistake after ordering, email hello@cozybeestudio.com straight away — anything can be changed until we start making the book.
